We offer a range of treatments aimed at stimulating lymphatic drainage, promoting optimal beauty without the need for fillers or incisions. The focus is on enhancing your natural glow and plumpness, rather than altering your innate beauty.
All the products used at the salon are either hand-crafted in house or at a local organic manufacturer, from the makeup removers to the post-treatment serums, and even the sanitizers and disinfectants used throughout the salon. We avoid harsh chemicals and synthetic preservatives, prioritizing the health of both our clients and the planet. Our ingredients are carefully researched and sourced from organic, small-batch suppliers who work directly with farmers. Thus smells so fresh and the purest.
We also produce the purest grade USDA-certified CBD extract in Colorado, crafted from premium organic seeds and blended with full-spectrum CBD and organic hemp seed oil. This versatile extract can be used both topically and orally and is sometimes incorporated into our massages, facials and as a post care.
As we specialize in treatments for women, we kindly ask gentlemen to obtain a referral from our client.
In-House Craftsmanship
In a beauty world crowded with mass-produced formulas and long ingredient lists, we choose to keep things simple. Most of our skincare is crafted in-house or made in small batches with local organic partners, avoiding preservatives and chemicals that sensitive skin doesn’t need.
Quality You Can Feel
Freshness and potency guide every decision. Each blend is created with intention, so what touches your skin is clean, gentle, and made with real care.
Pure Aromatic Selection
We use only high-grade, organic essential oils—never synthetic fragrances or fillers. Each scent is chosen for its authenticity and natural clarity.
Aroma That Works With Your Body
When we inhale essential oils, the molecules travel through the nose and lungs, reaching the mucus membranes that communicate directly with our nervous system. This is why natural scents can shift how we feel—gently supporting relaxation, comfort, and a sense of ease.
Our approach is subtle and grounded. No heavy perfumes—just quiet, plant-based aromas that help settle the mind and soften the environment.
Simple, Honest Formulations
Our products are free from artificial preservatives, sulfates, alcohol, and unnecessary additives. We stay away from trendy “harsh” ingredients and keep the focus on what skin can genuinely benefit from.
Care for Skin and Earth
Choosing clean beauty is an act of respect—toward your own skin and toward the planet. We formulate with intention so that what you use is gentle, effective, and aligned with long-term wellbeing.
Since 2007, I had dreamed of opening a salon on a small Caribbean island – a salon overlooking the ocean that has an organic cafe offering healthy gluten-free sweets and herbal teas, and a little boutique that carries one of a kind clothing and hand-made jewelry with healing gem stones from around the world. I’d offer slow and relaxing spa treatments that only use fresh, natural and sustainable ingredients from the island.
Growing up, I discovered that I am severely allergic to chemicals. Countless episodes of passing out after taking over-the-counter medications like pain killers made me eventually start to explore natural alternatives to aid ailments.
I studied and trained in NY, India and Japan for a variety of techniques and philosophies, from medical doctors and naturopathic doctors to shaman and energy healers.
Due to some natural disasters that hit the Caribbean in 2017, my plan for the island was no longer feasible, so I ended up opening PURESTHETIQUE on Fifth Avenue in NYC in 2018.
Our services consist of slow, relaxing treatments that were originally created with the beautiful turquoise ocean in the background in my mind. That is probably why when clients walk into the salon, they immediately feel like they have drifted from the reality of being in the middle of Manhattan.

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. I obtained a degree in child education from Otsuma Women’s University, and worked at an elementary school as a swimming teacher while in college. Upon graduation, I landed at Apple computer Japan at their initial phase when the infamous Steve Jobs was temporally absent.
My dream back then was to study art and design in London so that I could become a comic artist, but my coworkers at Apple suggested going to NY instead, and helped me with the school application process, so that’s how I came here in 1989.
I attended the Fashion Institute of Technology for 5 years to study interior design while I was also involved in the NYC underground club scene in the early 90’s at the places created by Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
Greatly influenced by the world-renowned artists and designers I met at the time, I shifted my focus to fashion and worked as a buying merchandiser for international department stores and apparel trading companies between 1995 and 2004.
During this whole times, I was secretly battling depression from losing my family, parents and husband one after another throughout my 20s, for about 10 years. I wavered a bit in the fashion business after the World Trade Center incident, and registered at a temp staff agency. I was placed at Lehman Brothers as a secretary to the CFOm, and was offered a full time position but couldn’t give up on the fashion business. I moved back into fashion and did textile designs and production for a while.
Continuing as a freelance consultant for Japanese companies, I was unstable and stressed out. A friend recommended a trip to help me heal, and took me to a Caribbean island in early 2007.
I had hardly ever traveled for pleasure until then, but at that point, I began to travel for myself. I have since been learning about Mind, Body and Soul – and this knowledge is passed into everything I do at PURESTHETIQUE.
